Looop — the platform that powers D&D Connect

On March 30th, high-end restaurant group D&D London launched D&D Connect, an online learning platform that provides support for employees throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

D&D Connect, powered by Looop, provides a single place that teams can rely on to navigate the situation. UK employees may use the platform to find the latest business updates, Q&As related to the Coronavirus Job Retention scheme, volunteering opportunities, health and wellness resources, financial advice, emotional support via D&D’s Employee Assistance program, and even cooking lessons from D&D London’s Chefs!

These resources provide consistent, trustworthy and company specific information. The aim being to build resources that help D&D London staff now, and through to transition — when restaurants start to re-open. They are available on mobile as well as desktop, so they can be accessed at any time, with employees getting notified whenever there are important announcements.

Employees are able to comment and ask further questions in the resources, so that there is an ongoing dialogue — even when most of the workforce is furloughed.

D&D London’s Head of L&D, Adam Harwood, says,

“D&D Connect was designed to help London colleagues stay up to date with an ever-changing situation. We wanted to provide support during this uncertain period, and keep iterating in an agile way based on people’s needs and the situation itself. So far, it’s been very well received by employees.”

Looop’s Client Success Specialist, Rachel King, adds,

“D&D London had begun building and piloting resources in Looop to onboard new staff members and ensure compliance in areas like Allergens, Food Safety and Health & Safety, however with the current situation — and as for many of my clients — D&D had to totally pivot. Looop was the perfect solution as D&D London’s L&D department could create resources very quickly, edit them as and when things change, and use the Campaign tool in Looop to communicate with all members of the team.”

D&D London has 43 restaurants worldwide, and plans to roll this platform out globally, beginning with New York then Paris.
